Cluck N
Your Source for Ethical Poultry and Rabbit Oddities!
Our Story
It all started with a stray white leghorn rooster. He had been wandering around the back of the complex for a few weeks and no-one had come for him. We were in the process of moving into our house in Randleman, NC, from an apartment in Winston-Salem, NC. We finished cleaning up the apartment and decided we would take him with us. He deserved to be taken care of and we had a nice fenced in yard for him to enjoy. He passed away leaving us with a wonderful lasting impression. We decided that we wanted a flock and so Cluck N was born.
We planted fruit bearing trees in the part of our yard where the rooster used to roam. They are small, but already starting to bear fruit. We have apple, peach, pear, plum and cherry trees.
We raise a mixed flock of chickens, ducks, quail, peafowl, and rabbits. The poultry are all egg layers. We raise and process the rabbits for meat. They are all treated with love and care. We believe in ethical treatment and sustainability and using the entire animal. Nothing is wasted. If it doesn't get eaten or turned into an oddity, it goes into compost for the garden, which in turn helps feed us and the animals!
We welcome visitors. If you're in the area, stop by for some fresh eggs, some in-season fruit, or a rabbit foot keychain!
Cluck N falls under the NC MPID 08-10 and 10-10 exemptions.
